Montréal Casino & Hotel
The resort stands on Île Notre-Dame, an artificial island in the Saint Lawrence river across from central Montréal. Its main structure was built as a national pavilion for the world exposition held on the island, and the sloping, faceted form of that pavilion was kept when the building changed use. A second pavilion joins it, and the grounds around carry water, planting and paths.
Public parts include restaurants, a bar, a concert space and a hotel with its own entrance. Function rooms are let for meetings and events. The gaming floor is not described here. Parking and a shuttle serve the island, which also carries parkland and the rowing basin from the exposition.

Fallsview Casino Resort
Fallsview is built into the slope above the Niagara gorge, on the Canadian side of the river. Much of its mass is set within the hillside, so the frontage facing the water shows fewer floors than the building holds. A glazed gallery runs along the side facing the falls, and the hotel tower rises behind it, above the escarpment road.
Public parts include a theatre, a spa, shopping galleries, several restaurants and function rooms. The hotel occupies the tower and has its own entrance from the street. The gaming floor is not described here. The upper galleries look out across the gorge towards the falls themselves.

River Rock Casino Resort
River Rock stands on the bank of the north arm of the Fraser river in Richmond, south of Vancouver. The site includes a hotel, a marina and a long frontage facing the water, with the river walk running past it. Low buildings spread along the bank rather than rising into a single tower, and parking structures stand behind them.

Casino Rama Resort stands on the lands of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, near Orillia in central Ontario, close to Lake Couchiching. The buildings are low and spread across a wooded site rather than gathered into a single block, with the hotel wing and a large hall joined by internal corridors. Parking surrounds the buildings on open ground.
